We have had a fantastic April here at GlamPods Northumberland with amazing sunny days, Curlews and Swallows returning and on one day a little bit of snow (only one day!) We have met some fantastic guests and hope that by the sounds of children playing and a lot of cooking on the Braziers, that they have enjoyed their glamping experience. The bird table is very busy at this time of year and we have built a "round seat" around the bird feeding station so that you can sit and while away time watching wildlife unfold around you.
The insect boxes are looking full and we have a glut of red ladybirds, something that was on the decline a few years ago. I love this time of year with nature full on, swooping Swallows and calling Curlews. We have a lot of young hares (leverets) in the garden and around the glamping site so watch out for them on your visit. The Pods are surrounded by lambs and it is great fun to watch them all tearing around the field together - like children let loose in a wide open space.... anxious mums calling them - being completely ignored!
Stargazing nights have been going well and our stargazing box has been used a lot with Hot Chocolate and Fleecy blankets included, it has proved a big hit! Liam Reid from Stonehaugh astronomy is amazing and if you want to book a night with him talking you through the skies just let me know - judging by guests feedback, this is a night not to be missed.
Remember, we are a LUXURY glamping site so no extra charges for made up beds and fluffy soft towels - everything is included, you just need to bring your clothes and food..... or better still bring some BBQ Food and Hire our amazing HUT - now that really is a different night in!!
