Europe investing in rural areas
I thought I'd give you an "end of mad season" update..... we opened for Glamping Business in the last weekend in May and 314 visitors later - yup, 314 in 13 weeks we can now take stock and breath!! Seriously, a wonderful summer season helped by AMAZING weather and still very busy although we have longer stay guests booked in once the children go back to school. October, November and December are filling up with stargazing, wedding and Kielder Winter Wonderland guests - I am thrilled that you all seem to like my little pods!
None of this could have happened without the help of Kim, Tori and Chelsie who have cleaned the Pods to a very high standard and of course my mum who always steps into the breach when daughter and pony activities draw me away - a HUGE thank you to you all - I never ever worry that I haven't left things in capable hands (mind they video me singing on my lawnmower and tease me about my swallows - no respect for the elderly boss I say!!!)
On a different note, worryingly Christmas seems to be lurking in the supermarkets but it is definately arriving at the Farm. 20 Turkeys arrived today and Husband and Daughter have made them very comfortable in their deep straw beds. More turkeys will be arriving soon.....
Tups have been purchased at Kelso on Friday and will be out and about to meet the ladies at the beginning of November. Fireworks of a different type go off that night!
The "Hut" is now available for individual hire over the winter months at a cost of £40 which includes a laid fire, charcoal, marshmallows, crockery, cutlery etc and of course twinkly lights and the full "Lapland" experience - a cracking night out for special occasions or a family and friends get together or just because you can - contact me for more details.
Till next time
Happy Glamping
